Overview

HopeSync is a communication platform used by organizations to engage with individuals who voluntarily request services or information. Organizations using HopeSync collect consent to communicate via SMS before messaging begins. This page provides an example of the standardized consent and opt-in process used across organizations utilizing the HopeSync platform.

How Individuals Opt-In to Receive Messages

Individuals consent to receive SMS communication from an organization using HopeSync through the following methods: Website Widget or Contact Form Users voluntarily provide their phone number through a website form or chat widget installed on the organization’s website. At the point of collection, users are presented with SMS consent language that includes: Message frequency disclosure Message and data rate notice STOP and HELP instructions Links to Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions Statement that consent is not a condition of purchase Users must actively submit their information to initiate communication.

Confirmation Before Messaging Begins

After a user submits their phone number or initiates contact, they receive a confirmation message requesting consent before communication continues. Messaging begins only after the user confirms participation.
